어제 저녁부터 끊임없이 비가 내려서 서울로 출발할 정오 무렵에도 비가 내린다.

아내는 세시쯤 떠나자고 하는데 그러면 어두워서야 서울집에 도착하지 않을까?

군대에서 운전을 배울 때부터 비 내리는 날과 야간 운전이 위험한데 두 가지가 겹치는 비 내리는 밤 운전은 최악이라 했다.

나이 들어 좋은 조건에서도 오래 운전하고 나면 어질어질하고 피곤하고 더욱 긴장이 되는 것이 현실이다.

조심해서 나쁠 것이 없기에 낮에 도착하도록 출발하자고 하였다.

사실은 글로 표현하는 것 이상 서로 신경이 곤두서기도 하였다. 

아침부터 출발할 준비를 해서 잠시라도 비가 그치면 짐을 옮기려고 기다렸으나 그칠 기미가 보이지 않아서 약간 덜 내릴 때 출발하였다.

마을버스는 배차 간격이 1시간 40분이라는데 집에서 보면 자주 들락거리는데 막상 타려고 기다릴 때에는 엄청 지루하다.

 

 

 

정오 무렵에 집을 출발하며 보니 성북천에 물이 제법 불었다.

어제 저녁부터 내린 강우량은 기상청 자료(24일 0.4mm, 25일 55.3mm)에 의하면 대전지역이 전국에서 가장 많이 내렸다.
