서울 수명산의 가을 풍경(2)/20151112

 

  이틀 전 수명산을 다녀 왔지만 참나무 4그루와 귀룽나무를 보지 못하고 온 아쉬움이 있었다. 다음날은 날씨가 좋지 않아서 포기하였다. 날씨도 쾌청하고 마침 수학능력시험일이라 등교시간인데도 중학생들이 놀이터에서 놀고 있다. 이틀 사이에 팥배나무는 잎을 거의 떨구었다. 하루가 다르게 가을이 깊어 가고 있다.

  올 봄이 지나서 뒤늦게 수명산근린공원에 화살나무를 많이 심었다. 연일 가뭄으로 매말라가는 시기에 심었는데 물도 제대로 주지 않아서 바싹 마른 모습이었다. 이식 전에 나왔던 나뭇잎도 가랑잎이 되어버려 화살나무가 죽었다고 생각했다. 수명산에 자주 가보지 못하다가 이번에 가 보니 많이 나지는 않았지만 돋아난 잎이 어느새 단풍이 들고 줄기도 생기가 돋는다. 대단한 생명력이다. 

 

 

 

  이른 봄에 가장 먼저 잎을 피운 귀룽나무는 일찌감치 낙옆이 져서 벌거숭이가 되어버렸다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  작년에도 가물어서 단풍도 들기 전에 일찌감치 잎을 떨군 은행나무 가로수다. 올해는 가뭄 피해가 작년보다 더 큰 듯하다. 그래도 은행이 열린 나무가 있기는하다. 도로의 왼쪽은 산에 면해 있어서 가뭄 피해가 없는 것 같지만 오른쪽(은행나무)은 옹벽 바로 윗부분이므로 아무래도 지하수위가 낮아서 가뭄 피해를 받은 것으로 생각된다.
