서울 수명산/20190324

지난겨울 동짓날(20181222) 다녀온 이후 올 들어서 처음 수명산에 다녀왔다.

겨울에는 날이 풀리면 다니겠다고 생각하였는데, 아직도 발걸음을 하고 있지 않으니 내 생각으로도 내가 걱정된다.

해마다 3월 하순에 나뭇잎이 돋아나기 전에 수명산에 있는 까치집 현황조사를 하였는데 올해가 6년차로 오늘 조사를 하였다.

무슨 가치가 있는 일은 아니겠으나 해마다 하던 일이라 하는데, 거듭할수록 조사가 보완되다보니 시간이 더 소요된다.

까치가 유해조수라는데 아직도 많은 분들이 길조로 알고 있지 않을까?

오늘은 썰렁하기는 해도 최근 들어서 이처럼 쾌청한 날도 드물지 않았나 생각된다.

벌써 봄꽃도 많이 피었고, 귀룽나무도 잎이 많이 돋아났다.

바로 앞에 있는 산사나무와 모감주나무가 자라서 이제는 건너편 숲을 가린다.

서울 수명산의 까치집(6차 조사)/20190324

2014년도부터 매년 3월 하순(나뭇잎이 돋아나기 직전 시야가 트였을 때)에 수명산에 있는 까치집의 현황 파악을 하고 있다.

올해로 여섯 번째 조사인데 연구차원은 아니고, 항상 같은 장소에 있을 것만 같았던 까치집도 변하는 것이 흥미로워서 해마다 조사해 보는 것이다.

조사 횟수가 증가할수록 까치집인지 아니면 나뭇가지에 나뭇잎이 걸려서 까치집처럼 보이는지 헷갈리는 경우도 있고,

까치집이라고 조사한 것 중에는 다른 새집도 포함되어 있으리라 생각되어, 차라리 새집조사라고 제목을 바꾸어야하나 하는 갈등도 있다.

인구조사처럼 방문조사가 아니기에 까치의 실제 거주 유무는 물론, 까치집이 아닌 것이 포함될 가능성도 있지만 대세에는 큰 영향이 없다고 본다.

어려서부터 보아온 까치집이 아니던가?

매년 조사하는 까치집의 수는 현재 까치가 거주하는 집과 까치가 살고 있지 않은 빈집을 포함해서 조사하고 있다.

빈집 중에 짓다 말은 집(공사 중단), 다른 곳으로 옮겨 짓고 남은 잔재, 폐가를 방치해서 허물어지는 중인 것은 현재 까치가 살고 있는 집보다 규모가 작다.

이 또한 인간사와 별반 다르게 없다. 

조사 범위는 내가 산책하는 범위 중에서 가장 넓게 다니는 구역인데 수명산을 오르락내리락 하며 조사하니 3시간 30분 정도 소요되었다.

  현재 까치는 유해조류로 분류되어 있다고 하지만, 아직은 길조로 알려저 있으며 내가 살고 있는 서울 강서구의 상징 새도 까치이다.

2015년 03월 25일 현재 : 38채 (기존/전년과 같음= 28채, 신축/새로 지음= 10채, 철거/2014년에 있던 것이 없어짐= 7채)

2016년 03월 24일 현재 : 40채 (기존/전년과 같음= 30채, 신축/새로 지음= 10채, 철거/2015년에 있던 것이 없어짐= 8채)

2017년 03월 25일 현재 : 45채 (기존/전년과 같음= 29채, 신축/새로 지음= 16채, 철거/2016년에 있던 것이 없어짐= 11채)

2018년 03월 25일 현재 : 46채 (기존/전년과 같음= 32채, 신축/새로 지음= 14채, 철거/2017년에 있던 것이 없어짐= 13채)

2019년 03월 24일 현재 : 45채 (기존/전년과 같음= 35채, 신축/새로 지음= 10채, 철거/2018년에 있던 것이 없어짐= 11채)
