서울 수명산의 봄 /20170410
봄기운이 완연하다.
팥배나무
진달래가 활짝 피었다.
내가 잘못알고 있는지는 모르겠지만 토질 때문인지 수명산에는 죽어서 쓰러진 나무가 유난히 많다. 과거에만 그런 것이 아니라 현재진행형이다. 어려서는 땔감으로 가랑잎이나 솔가루(솔잎)나 가지치기한 잔가지를 사용했으니 겨우내 나뭇짐을 진 지개꾼들이 산을 넘어서 학교까지 40분가량의 산길로 등하교하는 우리들과 반대방향으로 지나쳤다. 그 당시야 지개꾼들이 아저씨나 삼촌뻘쯤의 나이였으니 농담으로 누나있냐고 묻기도 하는 장정들이었다. 땔감으로 살아있는 나무를 자르다 산감에게 들키면 곤욕을 치르던 시절이었지만 이렇게 쓰러진 나무는 아마도 나무가 죽기를 기다릴 틈도 없이 잘라갔으리라. 아버지는 위의 지개꾼들 같이 돈벌이 수단이 아닌 집에서 땔감용으로 채취하러 필요할 때마다 산에 가셨다. 아버지의 나무지개에도 가끔은 꽃봉오리가 큼직해진 필락말락하는 진달래를 꽂아 오시곤 하셨다.
동네신문(강서까치뉴스)을 보니 수명산에 벚꽃이 많다고 해서 의아하게 생각했는데 이번에 보니 수명산 주변도로에 벚꽃이 있다.
봄에 나뭇잎이 가장 빨리 돋아나는 귀룽나무.
개나리도 활짝 피었다.
참나무 종류는 아직은 나뭇잎이 돋아나지 않았다.
수명산에서 집으로 돌아오는 길에 피어있는 목련꽃은 몇 년 전만하더라도 흔하게 볼 수 있었는데 이제는 보기 힘들어졌다. 목련꽃도 한때 유행이었나?
아파트 화단에서도 봄기운이 느껴진다.
